Domestic Sales of Gas

The long-term development program of PJSC NK Rosneft is aimed at achieving by the Company of a leading position among independent gas suppliers in the domestic market of the Russian Federation.

The Company supplies natural, dry lean and associated petroleum gas to consumers of the Russian Federation. Associated petroleum gas (APG) is processed both at the Company's own gas processing plants (GPP) and at the gas processing facilities of third-party enterprises - SIBUR Holding PJSC, Surgutneftegas OJSC.

Natural and lean dry gas is supplied to consumers mainly through the gas transportation system of Gazprom PJSC within the framework of the Gas Transportation Agreement. Gas is supplied both to final consumers and to regional marketing companies in almost 40 regions.

In order to increase the efficiency of gas monetization, the Company has developed a system for optimizing commodity-transport flows used in the construction of the operational gas balance.

The volume of gas sales by PJSC NK Rosneft in the domestic market was 63.2 billion cubic meters in 2017, including in Western Siberia and the Urals Federal District - 36.13 billion cubic meters, in the South of Russia - 2.40 billion cubic meters, in the Far East - 0.85 billion cubic meters, in the European part of Russia and other regions - 23.84 billion cubic meters. Revenues from gas sales increased by 1.2% compared to 2016 and amounted to 210 billion rubles. The revenue growth was accompanied by an increase in the average selling price by 2.8%, including due to the indexation of the wholesale price of gas for all categories of consumers by 3.9% from July 1, 2017

The Sverdlovsk Region remain the largest region of Rosneft operation, in terms of gas sales, where the Company provided about 90% of the region's gas needs in 2017, supplying gas to both industrial and social consumers.

During 2017, the Company also continued to participate in natural gas trading on the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange JSC launched on October 24, 2014, selling 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas, which amounted to 5.5% of the total volume of exchange trades.
